About the trainer

Alan Wang is a celebrated chef with a unique culinary journey that began in Shenyang, Northern China, and ultimately found its home in Dublin. After graduating from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Art, Alan arrived in Ireland in 2002, joining Bistro One restaurant as a trainee chef. Influenced by his hotelier father and his mother’s culinary skills, Alan quickly rose through the ranks under renowned chefs Richard Keogh and Jonathan Fox. Promoted to Head Chef, his commitment to high-quality ingredients and meticulous cooking techniques helped secure Bistro One’s spot in the Michelin Guide, earning the prestigious “Plate Award.”

In 2023, Alan and his wife Elaine fulfilled their dream of finally owning the Bistro One restaurant where they’d both spent over 20 years, rebranding it as Brighton Road. One of Alans many cooking specialities is an industry recognition for his amazing steaks and in this CMG masterclass, Alan shares his depth of experience, guiding you through things like selecting the finest cuts, achieving the ideal steak sear, and perfecting both timing and seasoning for a truly elevated steak dining experience.
